We want you throwing the disc, not arguing with us about it. This page sets out how to send something back, who pays for what, and how quickly you get your money. Your rights under South African law sit underneath all of it, and nothing here takes them away.

1. Who this policy is from
SkimmaDisc is a trading name of HK Data Solutions (Pty) Ltd, registration number [company registration number], of [street address], Cape Town, Western Cape. You can reach us at info@skimmadisc.co.za.
2. Changing your mind
Section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 gives you the right to cancel an online order within seven days of receiving it, without giving a reason and without penalty.
To use it, email us within those seven days and tell us your order number. Then send the disc back. Specifically:
- You do not have to explain why. “I changed my mind” is a complete answer.
- We refund everything you paid, including the original delivery charge.
- The one cost that falls to you is the direct cost of sending the goods back to us.
- Please send it back in the condition it reached you, with its packaging if you still have it. If it arrives back unusable we will call you before doing anything, not quietly reduce your refund.
The law gives us up to 30 days to refund you. We aim for five business days from the day the parcel reaches us.
3. If it is faulty
Sections 55 and 56 of the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 give you a six month warranty on everything you buy from us. It applies automatically and we cannot contract out of it.
If within six months of delivery your disc turns out to be defective, unsafe, or simply not fit for what a flying disc is for, you may return it and you choose what happens next:
- a replacement, or
- a full refund, or
- a repair, which for a moulded silicone disc is rarely the sensible option.
The Act puts the cost and the risk of that return on us, so we arrange and pay for the collection. You do not pay to send back something that failed.
Normal wear counts against nothing here, but this is a warranty against defects, not against everything. A disc that has been cut, burnt, chewed by the dog or deliberately damaged is not a defective disc, and we will tell you plainly if that is what we find.
If we replace an item and the same failure happens again within three months, section 56(3) entitles you to a refund or a replacement, and we will not send it for repair a second time.
4. Wrong item, wrong colour, or something missing
Our mistake, our cost. Email us within seven days of delivery with your order number and a photograph of what arrived. We will send the right item and collect the wrong one at our expense. Multipacks are picked by hand, so if a pack is short a disc or a colour is not what you chose, this is the section that applies.
5. Damaged in transit
Check your parcel when it arrives. If the packaging is visibly damaged, note that with the driver if you can. Either way, email us within seven days with photographs of the packaging and the contents and we will replace it or refund you, at your choice, at no cost to you.
6. If your order has not arrived
Contact us with your order number and we will trace it with the courier. If it turns out to be lost we will resend or refund you, whichever you prefer.
Section 19 of the Consumer Protection Act entitles you to delivery at the agreed time, or within a reasonable time if no time was agreed. If we are running materially late and you no longer want to wait, you may cancel and we will refund you in full.
7. Cancelling before we ship
If your order has not left us yet, email us and we will cancel it and refund you in full. There is no charge for this. Once a parcel is with the courier it becomes a return under section 2 or 3 above.
8. How to start a return
Email info@skimmadisc.co.za with:
- your order number,
- which item or colour you are returning,
- which of the situations above applies, and
- a photograph, if the item is faulty, damaged or wrong.
We will reply within two business days with a return address and, where we are paying, a collection arrangement. Please wait for that reply before posting anything, so your parcel does not arrive without us knowing what it is.
9. How you get your money back
Refunds go back to the method you paid with. A card refund returns to the same card, and an EFT payment returns to the account it came from. We cannot refund to a different person or a different account.
Once we have approved a return we process the refund within five business days. How long it then takes to appear depends on your bank, usually three to ten business days for a card. The legal maximum in all cases is 30 days from cancellation.
10. Exchanges
Want a different colour rather than your money back? Say so when you email us and we will swap it, subject to that colour being in stock. Exchanges follow the same postage rules as the section you are returning under.
11. Your rights are not limited by this page
This policy explains how we apply the law. It does not replace it. Nothing written here removes or reduces any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002, or any other law. Where this page and the law disagree, the law wins.
12. Contact
Email info@skimmadisc.co.za. If we have not resolved a complaint to your satisfaction, you may refer it to the National Consumer Commission or to the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud.
